- Software Engineer Intern
- Twelve weeks with a dedicated mentor, owning a project from coding through production deployment and then presenting it to peers and leaders. Work spans distributed systems, real-time communication, 3D, data processing, and rendering. Interns go through team matching across groups such as Infra, Engine, Search and Discovery, Foundational AI, and Economy.

- The full-time new grad engineering role, posted the same day as the internship. Early career engineers work alongside senior engineers designing and shipping features for Roblox's global audience.

When Roblox posts internships

Who can apply
Engineering interns should be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in computer science, engineering, or a similar discipline, and be proficient, or working toward proficiency, in a language such as Go, Node.js, Ruby, Python, C++, Lua, Swift, C#, or Java.
Roblox lets applicants redact age, date of birth, and dates of attendance or graduation from their resume. Intern roles are at the San Mateo headquarters, where office-based staff are onsite Tuesday through Thursday.
The interview process
The posting invites candidates to prepare on Speak_, a platform with practice assessments and interview guides, which points to an assessment stage early on. Candidates then move to technical interviews before team matching.
Team matching comes after the evaluation: you share which teams interest you, and Roblox tries to place you accordingly. A clear preference with a reason behind it helps.
