No deadline is published, so the real window is the first few weeks after a posting appears. Machine learning internships have followed the same cycle on their own Master's and PhD postings.

Who can apply
The Summer 2027 SWE posting asks for students pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in computer science or equivalent, graduating between Fall 2027 and Summer 2028, with no more than two years of full-time work experience.
Applicants need US work authorization. F-1 students are eligible using Curricular Practical Training; DoorDash states it does not support J-1 students, and it does not sponsor H-1B, TN, O-1, or STEM OPT during the internship. Interns must be available in person for the full summer.
The interview process
The engineering process starts with a coding test and a recruiter screen, according to candidates. The final round they describe has three parts: a standard algorithmic coding interview, a more interactive session that works through a practical problem, and an interview on DoorDash's engineering values.
