360 Careers Intern (Assurance and Tax): EY's accounting internships in Audit, Technology Risk, and Tax, offered in summer and winter. Interns take part in structured, skills-based "expeditions" that can span Assurance and Tax, alongside client work such as analytical review of financial statements.
EY Career Residency: A paid, longer alternative to an internship for 360 Careers Assurance and Tax candidates, launching January 2028. It opens with a Client Service Immersion from January to March: full time and mostly in person. Residents who accept a full-time analyst offer then do a virtual Skills Academy from April to August.

When EY posts internships

EY posts its fall application windows publicly. In 2026, Consulting and EY-Parthenon applications opened September 8 and closed September 22. Accounting roles for 360 Careers and Assurance opened the same day and closed September 30, and Tax roles for business and technology majors closed October 5. MBA Consulting and EY-Parthenon internships opened October 5 and close November 29.

Plan around an early-September opening with a close two to four weeks later. That window covers summer and winter internships for the next year and Career Residency roles starting the January after. Coming back to campus in late August? Have your resume ready before classes start.

Who can apply

Assurance internships and the Career Residency require a predicted degree in accounting, a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 (3.2 or higher preferred), and a plan to meet the CPA licensure education requirements in your state before full-time employment. Consulting roles list their own majors; Technology Consulting, for example, looks for computer science, information systems, data science, or analytics backgrounds.

Most EY early-career roles require US work authorization without sponsorship. EY lists a limited set of exceptions in Assurance, Consulting, EY-Parthenon, and Tax, including its Japanese Business Services and Korean Business Network roles. Government and Public Sector roles require US citizenship and eligibility for a security clearance.

The interview process

Within one business day of applying, EY emails an invitation to an online skills assessment, and your application is not complete until you submit it. EY says interviews may include prerecorded video, live video, and case study interviews, with format and number of rounds set by the role.

Accounting interviews are mostly behavioral, focused on client service and teamwork. Consulting and EY-Parthenon candidates should expect a case or problem-solving component.
