Embark Scholars Program: An internship for first-generation or community college students pursuing an accounting or IT-related bachelor's or master's degree, with technical and professional training across KPMG service areas.
Global Advantage Program: A four-day global experience for future interns; past sessions were held in Prague, Brussels, and Copenhagen. Eligible candidates receive the application link automatically after submitting an internship application.

When KPMG posts internships

Who can apply

Audit internships require enrollment in a Bachelor or Master of Accountancy or equivalent program, progress toward CPA licensure education requirements in your office's state, and credits remaining after the internship; a GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred. Each posting lists earliest and latest graduation dates.

Many KPMG internships state that the firm will not sponsor work visas for that opportunity, including F-1 OPT and CPT. Embark Scholars is limited to first-generation and community college students in accounting or IT programs.

The interview process

Once your application is selected, the standard process is two live video interviews with business leaders. They are mostly behavioral: teamwork, leadership, and why you want the practice and office you chose.

KPMG allows at most two active applications, asks you to apply to the one role you want most, and will not interview you for multiple positions at the same time. Some offices follow the interviews with an invitation to visit before extending an offer.
