Salesforce internships: when they open and how to apply
Everything student-facing at Salesforce sits under the Futureforce banner: internships in tech, sales, and corporate roles, plus a new grad track built around the Associate Member of Technical Staff (AMTS) title. There's also a pre-internship for sophomores that can lead into a regular internship the next year.

Internships and programs at Salesforce
The early-career programs it runs for students and recent graduates, by the names it uses for them.
- Futureforce Internships
- Salesforce's main internship program, with roles in Tech and Product, Sales, Customer Success, AI Research, and corporate functions. Tech and Product interns write code that ships to production. US summer internships cluster in San Francisco and other major offices, and EMEA and Latin America also host year-round internships.
- Futureforce Tech Launchpad
- A paid, full-time 10-week summer pre-internship at Salesforce's San Francisco headquarters, run with CodePath. It teaches full-stack web development and AI tools, with mentorship from Salesforce engineers. It's for current sophomores (rising juniors) majoring in computer science or engineering, and people who finish it may qualify for a Salesforce internship the next summer.
- Software Engineering AMTS (New Grad)
- Salesforce's entry-level software engineering role, titled Associate Member of Technical Staff. New grads join product engineering teams, and many are former Futureforce interns. AMTS roles for the next graduating class post each fall.
When Salesforce posts internships
Futureforce internships go up from August on, with the heaviest recruiting from September through November. Hiring can continue into the new year, but the most popular roles fill by December.
AMTS new grad roles open around the same time. Tech Launchpad runs on a different calendar: for summer 2026, the application deadline was February 22, 2026.
These are patterns from recent cycles, not published dates, and they shift. The reliable signal is the posting itself: Trakker is an internship tracker that reads Salesforce’s careers site directly and can email you within minutes of a new role appearing.
Who can apply
Futureforce technical internships are for bachelor's or master's students with at least one term left after the internship, in computer science or something close. Salesforce says requirements vary by role and are listed in each posting; some international postings set a class year, like sophomore or later. There are also internships for master's, MBA, JD, and PhD students.
Tech Launchpad is limited to students at US colleges who are 18 or older, currently sophomores, and majoring in computer science or engineering. You need basic programming skills: functions, loops, conditionals, and arrays.
The interview process
The process starts with a resume review and a recruiter screen, then two to four technical and behavioral interviews. Technical rounds cover coding and data structures; behavioral questions tie back to Salesforce values like trust and customer success.
Some roles add a team matching step after the interviews. Sales and customer success internships focus on communication and case-style questions, not coding.
Tips for applying to Salesforce
- Sophomores: apply to Tech Launchpad. It's built to lead into a Salesforce internship the following summer, and the deadline falls in the winter, well after most fall recruiting.
- Learn the Salesforce platform a little before interviewing. A basic Trailhead module shows you understand the product your code would ship in.
- Get applications in early in the fall. Popular Futureforce roles fill well before the posted end of the cycle.
