Intuit internships: when they open and how to apply
The company behind TurboTax, QuickBooks, Credit Karma, and Mailchimp runs a summer-only US internship program, with two 12-week cohorts starting in May and June. Its engineering interview is known for the craft demo, where candidates build or present working code in front of a panel instead of solving puzzles alone.

Internships and programs at Intuit
The early-career programs it runs for students and recent graduates, by the names it uses for them.
- Software Engineering Intern
- A 12-week summer internship with specializations such as full stack, mobile, and cybersecurity. For 2027 there are two cohorts: May 17 to August 6 and June 14 to September 3. Interns work hybrid, on site at least three days a week, in offices such as Mountain View, San Diego, New York, Charlotte, and Atlanta.
- Product Manager Intern
- A summer PM internship at headquarters in Mountain View. The posting covers internships in Intuit's Rotational Product Management program, so it doubles as the intern pipeline for RPM.
- Rotational Product Management (RPM) Program
- A two-year full-time program for new graduates that starts a product management career through three personalized rotations, with ongoing training and mentoring.
- Co-op
- Co-op terms of four months or more in Canada, built to meet university co-op requirements; Intuit does not offer co-ops in the US. It also hosts interns in Australia, India, Israel, and the UK.
When Intuit posts internships
Summer postings go up early in the fall. By mid-September 2026, Summer 2027 roles were live in software engineering, product management, and other functions. Review is rolling, so an early application counts for more than any later deadline.
Intuit does not offer fall or spring internships in the US, so there is one US cycle a year. Canadian co-op terms follow university co-op calendars.

Who can apply
Interns must be enrolled in a degree-seeking program (associate's, Bachelor's, Master's, MBA, or PhD) with graduation after the internship ends. US postings require authorization to work in the US full-time for the internship.
US internships cover AI research and science, analytics, business operations, cybersecurity, design, finance, marketing, product management, program management, sales, and software engineering. Postings offer a relocation stipend, and interns are on site at least three days a week.
The interview process
Engineering candidates report a coding test first, often on Intuit's Glider platform or HackerRank, then a live technical screen. The distinctive step is the craft demo: candidates get materials in advance, then build, extend, or present working code with a panel, with attention to clean code, testing, and tradeoffs.
Intern and new grad loops are shorter than experienced-hire loops, and Intuit publishes its own advice on its software engineering interview. Product and business candidates go through function-specific interviews, not the coding craft demo.

- Prepare for the craft demo like a small project: practice writing tested, readable code in a real repo, not isolated puzzles.
- Get your application in during September. With one US cycle and rolling review, early applicants see the most openings.
